The Allegis Group & TEKsystems as Pioneers in technical staffing
In 1983, two entrepreneurs from the United States had the foresight to launch a company that delivered highly skilled technicians to companies who required their services. These visionaries, Stephen Bisciotti and Jim Davis, quickly filled a void in the staffing market and did so with world class customer service. Their company, Aerotek, was established to specifically cater to aeronautics, engineering and light industrial staffing.
In the late 1980's, Aerotek had developed the first of its subsidiaries, Data Temps, later renamed Maxim Group. Maxim Group's focus was based on application development.
In 1993, Aerotek Data Services was formed as a specialised division dedicated to IT infrastructure, staffing, and solutions. At the same time, Aerotek expanded across the Atlantic and the first European office was opened in the UK.
Four years later, Aerotek Data Services joined forces with TEKsystems, Aerotek’s applications, infrastructure, and communications staffing services arm, to create a full-service IT and communications staffing and managed service organisation.
TEKsystems came to Germany in 1999; now located in Frankfurt, our Germany location serves hundreds of clients and technical professionals, continuing the proud TEKsystems tradition.
A final merger occurred in 2002 when sister company Maxim Group was combined to create today's TEKsystems, a premier technology staffing and services company.
